Dear secondary school parents,

We would ask you to remind your child to take his or her numerical key to the canteen every day, as we have noticed that many of them still forget it all too often !

As stipulated in the canteen rules, your child may forget his/her key a maximum of 3 times per half-year:

- Half term 1: September to January inclusive
- Semester 2: February to June

If your child forgets his/her key, he/she is asked to come to the canteen office to pick up a free ticket. If the key is forgotten for more than 4 times, the pupil will have to buy a meal ticket for 6.40 euros or buy a new key for 9 euros if it is lost. If they fail to do so, we will be obliged to refuse them access to the canteen. It is therefore very important to inform your child of this.

This rule has been introduced for two main reasons:

 To improve key control management with a daily flow of over 2,200 secondary pupils enrolled in the canteen
 To teach each secondary school pupil to take responsibility: his or her key is personal and cannot be lent to a friend; passing through the portal validates enrolment and makes it possible to check that the enrolment days are correct.

Even though most students know the rule, we've noticed that others very often forget it. We think a reminder would be useful.
