PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Pool

  • 12 to 15 swimmers per lane maximum - Time is the time spent in the water
  • Swimmers are required to bring their own swimming costume, cap and towel
  • Lessons do not take place during the EEB holidays but during the Belgian holiday periods (except ERM) (see calendar)
  • Parents have access to the cafeteria where they can watch their child swim EXCEPT for the ERM, where parents are not allowed to enter the military site.
  • For the little ones, the instructors help the children get dressed in the changing rooms.

Meeting Point

  • For swimmers who come to the pool on their own or accompanied by parents, the appointment with the instructor always takes place in the pool entrance hall 15 minutes before the start of the lesson. Except for ERM, in front of the entrance to the rue Hobbema 8 building.
  • For swimmers taking the European School bus in Uccle, stop locations are listed in the “Bus numbers and locations” section (see Menu).

Notes meeting point

  • ERM / VUB

It is essential to arrive no later than 15 minutes before the building entrance (ERM) or in the entrance hall (VUB). After this time, access to the complex will no longer be permitted. Swimmers must enter with their swimming instructors. The Royal Military School and the VUB have strict rules that must be strictly adhered to.

  • Poséidon / Longchamp

There are no strict access restrictions, but it is essential to arrive on time out of respect for the group and the instructor. Once you have passed the reception desk, the instructor will no longer be responsible for latecomers.

  • Poseidon lessons on Fridays levels 1-2-3

The swimmers are accompanied directly by their parents. An eeb1 supervisor will be present in the entrance hall and will take charge of the child a few minutes before the start of the lesson. He or she will help the child get ready and accompany him or her to the swimming instructor.

The swimmers (if aged 8 or over) can use the EBB1 school bus service to get to the pool.
Group 1 children are picked up directly on arrival by the accompanying adult. ATTENTION: If your child is in group 2 or 3, there will be no supervision until the swimming lesson begins. It is imperative that someone takes charge of the child at this time.

Participation in the courses

  • Pupils who have forgotten their swimming gear or who are indisposed and therefore cannot swim are asked not to go to the pool and to return home or to stay at the garderie (if registered).
  • If a pupil does come to the pool, parents will be informed and asked to collect their child immediately. Instructors cannot supervise students outside the group.
  • If a swimmer is excused from lessons for a specific period of time for medical reasons, please inform the swimming instructor at the Cesame office.
