TRANSPORT EEB1
This service only concerns children from EEB1 Uccle
Important information
The children benefit from the Uccle transport service, which includes the swimming pools on the way to the activity. There are therefore no additional buses specifically set up for this purpose. There is no return transport from the pools to school or home.
Pupils from the Uccle European School who are not registered for school transport and who wish to use this service to go to the swimming pool must register for transport (fill in and return to the swimming department the ‘Transport’ form at the bottom of the page) and pay a fee of 130€.
The number of the bus going to each swimming pool is given to you at the beginning of the year (see here). If this bus is different from your child's usual bus, you must inform the transport department at the beginning of the year.
There are no buses on Wednesdays.
Pupils must be at least 8 years old to use the swimming pool buses, unless they are accompanied by an older brother or sister, and provided that the Cesame office has been informed. We consider that children under this age are not yet capable of dealing with any unforeseen circumstances.
**No transport is organised from the other European school sites (including Berkendael) to the swimming pools. You can, however, check with your school's transport department to see if one of the buses passes by the swimming pool of your choice.
An instructor/coach will meet the children at the bus stop and accompany them to the entrance of the pool (instructors stay at the pool for a maximum of 15 minutes after the end of the lesson).
On the school site:
We do not accompany pupils from their classrooms to the buses. They must therefore be able to get there independently.
Please do not hesitate to inform your child's teacher so that he or she can direct him or her when leaving the classroom.
If you have any questions about the location of a bus or if it is delayed, children can go to the chaussée de Waterloo entrance or ask the monitors wearing yellow or orange jackets.
