Description : In this work shop pupils will be encouraged to develop their artistic sensibilities through practical exercises inspired by the great masters of painting.
For example, they will be able to create collages in the style of Matisse, paintings of geometric shapes in the style of Mondrian, landscapes in the style of Van Gogh, portraits in the style of Da Vinci, drawings of plants in the style of Ellsworth Kelly, paintings of birds in the style of Magritte, water lilies in the style of Monet, water in the style of Hockney and so on.
They will learn how to mix primary colours (gouache) and complementary colours using the colour wheel.
They will also work on observational drawing using grey pencil and oil pastels.
Pupils will also have the opportunity to create abstract paintings to give free rein to their imagination.
