ORGANISATION
Extra-curricular activities are organised by APEEE Services, one of the services managed by the Parents’ Association (APEEE). They are not run by the school.
All primary and secondary pupils whose parents have paid their APEEE membership fees (subscription) can register for extra-curricular activities.
The teachers are either recommended to us by the school or by parents, or they send us spontaneous applications. In all cases we assess their CV and meet with them for an interview. During the year, we monitor their work and gather feedback from parents.
Our aim is to offer quality courses to our kids, which is why we look for experienced teachers who use interactive approaches, and who love their job.
REGISTRATION
Enrolments are usually made in September. The dates of the enrolment period are indicated on the site under the heading ‘extra curricular activities’. However, it is possible to enrol at any time during the year provided places are still available. In that case, it is better to contact us first.
You can enrol online by making an application in the ‘Extra-curricular activities’ section.
An algorithm treats the attribution to extracurricular activities. We recommend that you enroll your child only to activities for which he or she is motivated. If your child wants only one activity, complete the choice 1 for which you can specify also 1 alternative. If your child wishes 2 activities, complete the choices 1 and 2.
Places are assigned randomly by an algorithm.
Extra-curricular activities are not a childminding service. It is important for a child to be motivated to be signed up for an activity. Children also enjoy playing in the playground, so a maximum of 1 or 2 activities is enough.
As soon as the application is « pending » parents can modify or delete it. As soon as the application is ‘Being processed’, parents cease to have access to it and have to contact the office.
No priority is given whether or not children have already participated in an activity except for private music lessons.
Parents receive an email confirming enrolments.
Payment should be made by bank transfer with a structured reference as soon as the payment request is received.
THE ACTIVITIES
Extracurricular activities take place after school hours, i.e. from 15h to 17h on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for kindergarten and primary. And on Fridays from 12h30 for the kindergarten and from 15h for the primary.
Extra-curricular activities take place on the school premises in rooms made available to the Parents’ Association.
Most of the activities are conducted in French, but most of the tutors also speak English and some of them speak another EU language.
Up to 12 children for a craft activity, and up to 14, 16 or 20 for a sport.
Apart from in special cases (Capoeira), materials and equipment are provided.
Changes of activity will be accepted free of charge before activities have begun. Once activities have begun, only one change will be accepted, subject to a EUR 10.00 charge.
A meeting point is organized all year long with the teachers and a manager in the atrium at 15h.
Contact the extracurricular office as soon as possible to find a solution so that the child can be correctly oriented and write a note in the agenda to inform the teacher.
